TecAccess Assists NDRC & JobAccess Expert Reference Group

Rockville, VA - April 14, 2010 -- TecAccess, a leader in risk management and accessible Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), has been invited to participate in a new era of streamlined national disability employment services to assist employers and employees. Debra Ruh, Founder and CEO of TecAccess, will work closely with the WorkFocus Group to improve efficiency and service delivery.
Selected by the Federal Government to operate two key support services, WorkFocus won the tender to be the exclusive new National Disability Recruitment Coordinator (NDRC) from March 2010 until mid-2012. The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations has also renewed until mid-2012 the WorkFocus contract to provide the national JobAccess service.
Ruh, who travels the world speaking on the topic of accessibility and disability employment, is the only professional from the United States invited to join the Expert Reference Group to provide input to the delivery of these services. As the creator of the most awarded accessibility consultancy in the world, Ruh will supply the expert panel with insight gathered from running her own firm that hires mostly people with disabilities to lead the accessible technology and risk management sectors.
"The coordinated provision of NDRC and JobAccess services through WorkFocus will deliver new efficiencies and benefits to everyone -- both employees with disabilities and employers," said Ruh. By combining services, the WorkFocus will enable job seekers and employers to more easily and efficiently navigate options and support programs designed to secure lasting employment opportunities.
"With WorkFocus providing both the NDRC and JobAccess programs, employers will be able to access the efficiency and skills of a dedicated one-stop system of advice including employment broker services and liaison with Disability Employment Service providers," explained Ruh.
